But, I wanted to open this thread up, as my thank you to you guys. Especially as of today, because yesterday we (me and my husband Dirk) decided to save up for a greencard to me so I can live and work in the United States. But, what I didn't quite expect was the support in every single way that I got tonight when I told people what we were trying to achieve, and I am quite overwhelmed. I knew the people on here were awesome, but this awesome? I am so thankful!
So, thank you guys, for every bit of support, I couldn't be happier. Thank you! Quote
Your bio says your location is Florida. Are you not already living and working in the US?
It's quite a long story, but I moved here last year in May and we started out with applying for a citizenship. Now, a year later, it turns out that greencard is the easiest and best way to go at it ahead of trying to become a citizen. It's a long and complicated process and story to go with it, but that's how it is Quote

Not quite yet, but it's a work in progress. Hard work is the key! Quote

It can be difficult Abby but it is worth the effort. My wife was a model here to who came from Colombia to marry me here in South Florida, so I know much of what you are going through. Good luck with the green card, my Sweetie has hers now for nearly two years and will soon be able to ask for the extension to ten years, and after next year to even apply for USA citizenship. It is an adventure to be sure... Quote

Yup, and I'm humble too, LOL.
But seriously, continued good luck on your "paper chase" for full legal status here, and it was good chatting with you. Quote
